Why Do We Need Robots?

Introduction

In a world where technology is moving forward at a fast pace, Robots have not yet made significant progress. Or maybe it is better to say that it has no place in the daily life of people. Humans have been dreaming about robots for a long time and making movies or writing books about them. Robots are mostly scary creatures for us. The reason is clear. In Hollywood, we see robots as an iron mechanical creature with red eyes whose purpose in life is one thing: To Kill People!!!
But is it really so? Should we really be afraid of robots? Are they useful for us or not?
I’ll write my opinion on these matters in the future.
But today I would like to write about the reasons why we need Robots.

Eternal Workers

Robots can perform repetitive tasks with high precision and at any time. Right now, companies are using them in their factories. Robots can now do transportation, painting or packaging. Well, this can prevent many problems that occur during assembly.

Excellent Accuracy

Robots have various sensors that can understand their surroundings using it, so their accuracy in doing things increases. And thanks to artificial intelligence, the more information you give them, the better their accuracy will be.

Cut Costs

Maybe the price of producing robots is high now. But it should also be considered that robots can reduce costs in the long run. Because as mentioned, robots do things more efficiently. In general, the automation of work reduces costs. Especially in places where labor force is low and wages are high.

Space Exploration With Robots

Let’s face the truth. We can’t do much in space, so we need a friend. A friend who does everything without grumbling. Robots can explore in space without considering the many limitations that exist for humans in space and help humans in the path of space discovery and intuition. As in recent years, some of our mechanical friends in the name of opportunity, curiosity and perseverance were on Mars and were sending us valuable information from the red planet.

Medical Applications

Robotics has already made good progress in the field of Medical. We’ve seen doctors perform remote surgery with mechanical arms, which is truly extraordinary.
But in addition, robots can also help in nursing patients.

Robots can do what we can’t. They can lift very heavy objects and see behind walls. At the time of an accident like an earthquake, all kinds of robots such as Drones, robotic dogs and other search bots can help us a lot.
Also, due to the daily progress of artificial intelligence, these robots will become smarter and their analysis method will be more advanced.

Helping The Elderly

This video “Are robot companions good for the elderly?” from the BBC is an example of robots and artificial intelligence helping the elderly. Elderly people need 24-hour care. Robots can be a friend and companion for the elderly, and at the same time they reveal their needs from a spiritual point of view, they can also check them daily from a medical point of view. After that, the collected information will be sent to a data center and checked by AI doctors , and if there is a problem, we will notice it sooner.

And i think this one works for everyone, not just elderly people. Who wouldn’t like to have a friend like Baymax who always looks out for you?😂

Overall I feel robots are underrated in the world right now. It is exactly where artificial intelligence was two years ago. Ai did not exist among people, but now many of us use it. Robots will be the same. It is impossible to predict exactly when the “robotics bubble” or “robotics boom” will happen. But it is certain that robots will be one of the big industries of the future.
